This Mercury retrograde in Aries (with Mars conjunct Saturn in Cap) is certainly not beating around the bush...
Mercury retrograde means past interactions are coming up for review, and the self righteous tug of Mercury in Aries to speak out from ego is strong. Meanwhile, Mars and Saturn, planets of action and structure, are amplifying the drive to make things "real" in the world. And, their placement in Capricorn gives it all a no nonsense style that aint for the faint of heart.  Do everyone a favor, including yourself, and refrain from saying it, acting on it, mobilizing it, whatever your "it" may be right now, til at least after Mercury goes direct on April 15th. Better yet, until Mercury has fully traversed the entire retrograde path after May 2nd.

Patience with oneself and others is the best virtue to cultivate now. Use the energy at hand to get clear on what it is you are aligned with, in a deep and principled way, rather than a reactive push-pull way. The energy of Capricorn reminds us that greatness begins by having a firm foundation to stand upon. Similiarly, in this Wood element season of spring, we can look to our friends and teachers the Trees for reminders on the importance of establishing our roots in order to grow tall.

Tree medicine can also offer us much right now in the way of patience, humility, and the ability to abide peacefully right where we are. In Chinese Medicine, the point Liver 1, wood point on a wood channel, is symbolic of the beginning of Spring. Liver 1 is also called Great Esteem, and it teaches us to identify and root in to what is essential to our life path. Smack on the tip of the big toe, it's location is also symbolic of the roots and foundation we need to attend to in order for our life vision to flourish. Mercury retrograde is an ideal time to step back and determine what that is. Perhaps the push to what seems to be calling for urgent action is actually more of a calling to get clear on what we want, what supports us in our life path, and the higher principles we wish to align ourselves with and grow towards.

In particular, the energy of the Birch tree supports us in living our life purpose with purity and uprightness... Walnut is helpful for those feeling mired in family drama, Chestnut helps clear the mind from worry, and Cedar establishes us in a field of protective love, so we don't feel like we need to lash out or fight back. Oak helps us slow down and let our highest self be the guide, and Spruce can help us to integrate the past experience into present wisdom on a soul level. Mercury will go direct on the Aries new moon of seed planting on 4/15, and this will be a much more cosmically aligned and supported time to take action.
